Mademoiselle Isobel

Mademoiselle Isobel  This can be heard by clicking over Mademoiselle Isobel, This track shows the less shred side of my guitar playing which I incorporated Jazz influences and elements of folk finger style. The main theme's cordial structure utilises the the root and seventh with and open G pedal tone throughout. The compositions stays within the confines of the key of G major. The middle sections use a  Jazz standard II,V,I,IV cord progression. The solo breaks use two modes, the distorted guitar lines use the D mixolydian mode favoured by jazz greats such as Larry Carlton, while the clean lines use the Ionian mode. This track might appear on a forth coming album and would make a nice footnote or ending track.
The video is me playing a semi acoustic version on my single cutaway 1962 Epiphone Zenith acoustic fitted with a Shadow jazz pickup.
The Isobel in which the title refers is my little daughter Izzy who has always been of great assistance when doing my recordings, she is here pictured with me after taking her holy communion:@))
