Inspired by Nash

Inspired by Nash<-- Please click the highlighted Inspired by Nash to hear the Recording:@))

Played in the key of E major, Inspired by Nash has the traits  that I use in a lot of my compositions. The tune starts with a declining major scale motif that repeats before going into the cord progression/ riff . After this there is a pedal tone section which then go's to an arpeggio section which incorporates hammer on ,pulling off and tapping the cords out. The composition then repeats itself to the end.

The video is me playing the slightly abbreviated version of Inspired by Nash:@))

Inspired by Nash was as the title suggests,is me being influenced by the British artists John and Paul Nash . My eye for art is the same as the next person in that I don't like being told what is and isn't art and that for me art is subjective, I like it or don't like it and that is good enough. I first got exposed to their paintings,,when seeing Paul Nash's Battle of Britain, explored a little further and discovered that there was two brothers, John and Paul Nash who were artists between the wars. Their main topics were war paintings and paintings of the English countryside.

Below me playing Inspired by Nash live at Base.

For me its the countryside paintings that has inspired me the most, and with this composition, as with others that I have written, tried to evoke a musical impression of the English countryside, at least that is what I'm trying to achieve. This track will be on an album due to be released later this year.

Thank you for reading and listening,
